VOICES IN CONTIENDA, the MOVICON podcast

Chapter 1. Tourism that expels. In this first chapter, led by Gomer Betancor Nuez and Daniel Martínez Lamas, we investigate the dynamics of tourist overcrowding and its impact on housing, territory and daily life. To do this, we spoke with Noelia Sánchez, spokesman for Ben Magec, Ecologists in Action in the Canary Islands, and Ernest Cañada, researcher and social communicator specialized in tourism and social justice, to understand the current cycle of protests against tourism and the processes of dispossession that cross cities and archipelagos in Spain. How is resistance organized? What alternatives are you imagining? What does it mean to defend the right to live in the place we inhabit?
